When we rescued Larry from the puppy mill last August, we thought that he was going to give us a challenge. After all, he had lived his 8 years in a small, dirty shed with no name and very little socialization. Larry proved us wrong! He quickly learned how to be a loving companion. But now we really are faced with a true challenge. Please welcome Beau to FLFO. He is a 10-year-old Bichon Frise who was a stud dog in a puppy mill. He has the true behaviors of a mill dog: terrified of human contact, afraid to walk on grass (he lived in a kennel all of his life), has no house training. But he is as sweet as can be. He lets us hold him and kiss him (although he's not so sure about that!). We have high hopes that Beau will quickly learn, as Larry did, that humans aren't all bad, and that living in a home is a very good thing. We love you already, Beau!
